Fish & Cruise Wanaka operates year-round, giving you the chance to enjoy the lake in comfort with our experienced local skippers. Lake Wanaka is a sparkling gem in the heart of the Southern Alps – a vast body of crystal clear water fed by glacial streams and fringed with native bush, hidden beaches, and snowcapped mountains.
Whether it’s the hot summer sun, the spectacular autumn colours, the snow-clad mountains, or the early warmth of spring, we can take you to one of Lake Wanaka’s picturesque islands, a secluded beach, or help you catch an elusive salmon, rainbow or brown trout.

Jeno's Favorite Trout Recipe
Ingredients: 1 Trout – cleaned, head removed, 2 Tbsp Butter, 1 Lemon, Salt & Pepper & Speights Beer
Directions:
Preheat BBQ to medium heat.
On a flat surface lay out the aluminum foil. Rinse the trout and pat dry. Lay fish in the center of the foil and place sliced lemon on it. Add the butter and then season with salt & pepper. Pour half a glass of Speights beer over the fish. Fold the foil around the fish and crimp the seams to seal. Place on the BBQ and cook for around 20 minutes. Enjoy!
